Goldfrapp :: Seventh Tree

Goldfrapp
Seventh Tree
Mute

As the beautiful British powerhouse fronting the band with her name sake, Alison Goldfrapp has described the band’s fourth album, Seventh Tree, as a "sensual counterpoint to the glitterball glamour of Supernature.” An all-too-fitting description of Seventh Tree, which is less electro-club-scene and way more hip, tranquil yoga. Though it’s only sold around 15,000 copies in the states, it’s killing across the pond where it debuted on the U.K. Albums Chart at number two. So my advice is to not let those bloody gits and blimey slags have all the fun. Seventh Tree would be great ambiance to the all American summer, as well.
