Official Announcement from CHUCK B. Regarding: PRICK Magazine print cycle. PLEASE READ!!! For all those out there that have heard in the tattoo grapevine that I sold PRICK Magazine that is not the case. If I had, then there would be no need for this announcement: It has been a long time coming, but I have some slightly sad news to announce. The only way that I can see possible to keep PRICK Magazine alive and filled with high quality content is to go to a quarterly print cycle. The only other alternatives would be to double our existing advertising or turn PRICK into a priced magazine available in distribution points rather than for free. Neither of those solutions can happen over night, and since I have taken over editorial and production responsibilities of Skin Art, Tattoo Revue, Tattoos for Men, Tattoos for Women and Tabu Tattoo, this has become a time issue for the PRICK team. Starting with the upcoming issue -- which would have been Aug/Sept issue -- we are turning quarterly and distributing through each season. The next issue will hit the streets mid-September and be considered the 12th Anniversary/Fall edition. We ARE currently looking for new advertisers and potential strategic investors/partners to join the PRICK family and take things to the next level. Please email chuckb@prickmag.netwith any questions or comments. Thanks for your continued support and readership through this time of transition. Any subscribers that have paid for home or shop delivery will automatically have their subscriptions extended. The same goes for any pre-paid advertisers. Regards, Chuck B. Publisher-PRICK Magazine JUNE/JULY - Vol. 12 Issue 5 Retractions ATT: PROFESSIONAL TATTOO ARTISTS, THE CURRENT BLOODLINE TATTOO INK AD IN the June/July (printed version) of PRICK MAGAZINE WAS A mistake on the magazines part and was not the ad that was intended to run in print. BLOODLINE INKS "WILL NOT" BE AVAILABLE AT BLICK ART SUPPLY STORES WHEN THEIR CURRENT STOCK OF OUR PRODUCT RUNS OUT. THE SALE OF OUR INKS AT BLICK'S HAS BEEN PERMANENTLY TERMINATED, WE APOLOGIZE IF WE OFFENDED ANYONE WHO WORKS PROFESSIONALLY IN THE TATTOO COMMUNITY, THIS TYPE OF COMMERCIAL RETAIL SALE OF TATTOO INKS … proved to be unmanageable as far as keeping track of the products going to licensed tattooist. What started out as an idea to make it EASIER for tattooist to attain our products ended up being unacceptable to us as a company. SKINCANDY SUPPLY/BLOODLINE INKS DOES NOT ENCOURAGE tattooing outside the bounds of a professional tattoo shop and strives hard to put supplies only in the hands of professional tattooists. Mostly gone. I divorced my wife and i quit my job. i left sometimes for a week. Sometimes a month. Sometimes longer. Almost always traveling alone but meeting up with so many crazy people on the way. Amazing inspiring people who filled my life with stories and experiences and so much beauty during a wild and unpredictable season. On Friday February 4th, 2011 at Young Blood gallery in Atlanta, GA, I’m having an art show opening to commemorate and celebrate this time and all of the friends and artists who were inspirational or influential during it.
